On the exercise side of things, you can benefit greatly from stepping up your game. You definitely need to take part in cardiovascular exercise several times a week to burn enough calories to see the pounds melt off. Interval training is especially helpful. With interval training, you vary your pace when performing an exercise like biking or jogging. So, you’d run for a bit, walk for a bit, then jog. Changing your pace burns more calories than keeping it consistent.

Doing crunches is another way to attain weight loss from your midsection. However, you should try to pick up the pace a bit without sacrificing your form. This will tone your muscles and burn calories. Additionally, lifting weights can help. This is especially true for women. Women that lift weights twice a week have shown to burn more fat, including that from their bellies, than those that don’t.

One final contributor to belly fat is depression. Suffering from depression can dramatically increase the likelihood of developing and storing belly fat that’s situated deep within your abdomen. This is the fat that surrounds your internal organs and increases your risk for heart disease.
