Body wraps are a kind of mummy-like wrap that is applied onto the body for different reasons depending on the kind of spar you visit. Depending on the kind of spar a body wrap may be used to relax body muscles, detoxify, slim down the body or help one lose belly fat.

Depending on the kind of body wrap you choose you may start by being rinsed, go for a mud scrub or pear and apple scrub before being wrapped with the actual body wrap ingredients. When your body has been wrapped you then will be put onto an electric thermal blanket so you can sweat.

Now that we have an idea of what happens when getting a body wrap we are now going to look at what body wraps can do for the body. The fact that the body sweats during body wrap treatment there is a possibility that toxins in the skin can be lost through excretion via sweat. Therefore it is ideal that one eats healthy, exercises and if possible also goes for body wrap treatment. This is so for body wraps can improve one’s exercising ability as they can eliminate toxins which would otherwise weaken body systems.

Body wraps can also aid in weight loss by helping reduce stress on the brain.

Body wraps have a calming effect on the brain just as a massage does. Stress on the brain is one of the major causes of weight gain. If stress on the brain is reduced it is possible to regulate body hormones that promote weight gain.

Although there are many ways to lose body fat it is important to know that the best way to lose weight is through exercise and eating healthy. If you binge eat and lead a sedentary lifestyle you can only gain weight and no method will help you lose weight, not even body wraps. So in conclusion body wraps can help you detoxify your body and lose weight but the results depend on your effort.
